A Baddeck RCMP officer has been charged with uttering threats.
SiRT says the investigation started in February after a report the officer threatened a female he knows.
He was charged Wednesday and is expected in court April 13.
Acting Commanding Officer of the RCMP, Superintendent Dan Morrow says they take all allegations of misconduct seriously.
He says employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that exceeds high expectations of Canadians.
The officer is on leave and an investigation is ongoing.
