Missing person found after alert sent Wednesday night

A missing person has been found after an emergency alert that might have startled many people awake.

Around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, RCMP sent an alert about a missing vulnerable person from Musquodoboit Harbour, near Halifax.

Police say they went missing yesterday around 5:30 p.m. near the Musquodoboit Harbour Railway area.

However, early this morning the RCMP said they were found safe, according to their website.

The alert was canceled, and they thanked the public for their help on social media and by sending in tips.
