RCMP Aim To Make People Scam Savvy

It seems like there’s a new scam to watch out for every week.

The RCMP in Queens County want to help educate people about what to look for.

They’re setting up a booth at the Liverpool Post Office on Wednesday.

Constable Rob James says the goal is to spread a little knowledge.

“Maybe we can help them recognize it when it happens to them instead of finding out too late.

James says due to the large senior population on the South Shore, this area is particularly vulnerable to scam artists.

The booth will be set up from 11 until 2 p.m.
