The province is investing more than $6 million in this round of funding, along with launching a new online water data tool, to help communities adapt to drought conditions.
Environment and Climate Change Minister Tim Halman says the funding will help communities address local needs while ensuring reliable access to water across Nova Scotia.
Applications for the Sustainable Communities Challenge Fund opened on Thursday, with priority given to projects that address water shortages.
Eligible projects include new or expanded community wells, rainwater harvesting systems, and nature-based approaches to sustainable water management.
The deadline to apply is July 23, with pre-screening information due by June 25. Anyone interested can find more information on how to apply online.
