Best ways to enjoy corn on the cob

I used to pick corn when I worked on Hebb’s farm. A great job except when there is an order to be filled in the pouring rain.
The local crop is not ready yet but today is “Corn on the Cob Day” so let’s talk about the best ways to cook corn.
It has to be one of the tastiest summer treats. Golden yellow and steaming with lots of butter, salt, pepper. I can almost taste it.
The big question, how are you going to cook your corn?
Growing up, the only way to have corn was boiled. Pot of hot water, corn goes in and then five minutes later it comes out ready to enjoy.
Then there was the one time we tried soaking the corn, still in the husk, in water and tossed it on a grill over the open fire. That was a different experience with fighting burning husks to get to the corn, haha.
The best corn cooking adventure I have had was on the BBQ. This is now my most common way to cook corn on the cob.
Husk the corn, spread butter on the cobs and lay them on tinfoil on the hot grill. Some salt and pepper and roll it a few times so the corn cooks without burning and enjoy.

I found an article that tested eight different ways to cook corn and some of these I had never heard of before, like a “butter bath”.
Warning, this picture will likely make you hungry, haha.

Here are the details on each cooking method. Maybe plan on trying a new way to cook your corn the next time you have it.
