Nashville Bits & Bytes

Friday, Shania Twain dropped the song ‘Faded Blue Jeans’, featuring Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. This is the final pre-release from her new album “Little Miss Twain” coming July 24. Shania says this guitar-driven tune was inspired by one of her teenage relationships.

Megan Moroney has launched her first fragrance “Calliope”. She says perfume can capture memories, emotions, and important moments in life, much like a song. Calliope comes in a heart-shaped bottle that looks like it has shattered and then pieced back together with silver glitter.

Luke Bryan was asked what country music smells like … After some serious thought, his answer: “A perm at a hair salon and funnel cake.”

New music this morning from Genevieve Fisher, “Exit Signs.”
Genevieve recorded her vocals in her home studio. Her long time producer, Jason Massey, created and produced the music tracks in Nashville.
She says:

“I wrote “Exit Signs” with my longtime producer Jason Massey and my good friend, fellow Canadian artist Jason Blaine. Jason and I had been saying for years that we needed to write together again, so I’m thrilled this song finally made it into the studio.
I love this one because it feels a little different for me—it’s edgier, darker, and pushed me to explore my vocals in a new way. At its core, it’s a breakup song about recognizing the red flags and knowing when it’s time to leave.
I think a lot of people will relate to this one. I hope you love “Exit Signs” as much as I do. Thank you for listening”
