Fire destroyed a home in the Barrington area today.
The residence at 1290 Stoney Island Road was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived late this morning.

Islands and Barrington Passage fire department Chief Brian Nickerson says there were no injuries.
As of 3pm, firefighters were still on scene putting out hot-spots.
Nickerson says the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
The Barrington/Port Latour, Woods Harbour/Shag Harbour and Clyde River fire departments responded, while West Pubnico was on stand-by.
