South Shore Exhibition Ready For 124th Year

The 124th South Shore Exhibition gets underway tomorrow in Bridgewater.

It features a variety of entertainment including the firefighters challenge and grand street parade.

Manager Christine Sarty says people should be ready for boots, buckles and barrels of fun.

“Boots and buckles is all about the animals and the exhibitors, the horse riders, the ox pullers and that type of thing. The fun is the whole thing all put together.”

Musical acts for the week include Men of the Deeps, The Stampeders and Brett Kissel.

Sarty says they are counting on good weather to help make this year’s event a success.
