It’s a boost for a pair of legion branches on the South Shore.
The Nova Scotia government has announced funding to help with heating and air-conditioning upgrades at the legion’s in Western Shore and Chester Basin.
Western Shore will receive just over $7,000 while the legion in the basin will pick up nearly $6,500.
In total, 18 branches will pick up funding province wide.
The money is being funnelled through a provincial program designed to help legions with capital projects.
