Twelve businesses have been nominated for awards this year in Eastern Shelburne County. The 2012 Business Excellence Awards in Shelburne will be held on Thursday night at the Osprey Arts Centre. Five major awards will be handed out in various categories ranging from Export Achievement to Business of the Year. The evening’s guest speaker will feature Deborah Hashey of Irving Shipbuilding. The Shelburne and Area Chamber of Commerce and the Community Business Development Corporation is hosting the awards dinner. The event is completely sold out.
