GG David Johnston & Mayor Phil Mooney

He’s been Mayor for only one term. However, Phil Mooney believes he’s helped his town accomplish a lot.
The Yarmouth Mayor is not running again for the job. He says the highlight of his tenure was the provincial funding announcement recently to help in re-establishment of the ferry to Maine.

Mooney says troubles surrounding the SouthWest Development Authority and town finances were areas he and council worked their way through over the past 4 years. While he’s retiring from the Mayor’s chair, Mooney “is” running for a town council seat in Saturday’s elections.

Mooney will leave office as Mayor at the end of the month.
