The Yarmouth Mariners have swept a season opening home and home series with the CIBC Wood Gundy Lumberjacks. The Mariners edged the Jacks 4-3 last night in Yarmouth. Colin Campbell led the Mariners with 2 goals and 1 assists. Michael Crawley led the Lumberjacks with 2 goals. Yarmouth’s Travis Wilkins stopped 15 of 18 shots for the win while Billy Clarke of the ‘Jacks stopped 22 of 26 shots in the loss.
