Shelburne: Movie Theatre Opens To Large Crowds

A new initiative to offer a movie theatre experience in Shelburne is being dubbed ”a success.”

Rob and Marta Stork organized the monthly movie feature at the Osprey Arts Centre.

The first two movies were shown over the weekend.

Rob Stork says they had great crowds for both days.

“They spoke about how it’s different watching a movie in the theatre. Not only is the screen bigger and all that stuff but being together with other folks.”

Stork says they also offered people a chance to discuss the movies once they finished.

The next movies to be shown are not yet known but are scheduled for April 30 and May 1.

He says any profits after paying for license fees and expenses will go towards the Shelburne Film Expo’s summer camp.
