Ice Sharks Need Win To Advance To Semis At Bantam ‘AA’ Provincials

The final day of round robin play at the Bantam ‘AA’ hockey provincials in Yarmouth.

The South Shore Ice Sharks sit at 1-1-1 after a 2-2 tie with Western Valley and a 3-2 win over Bedford on Friday.

South Shore will play Yarmouth at noon today, with the winner advancing to tomorrow’s semi-finals.

Cape Breton leads the standings with a 3-0 record followed by Sackville at 2-1. Bedford is 2-2, then the Sharks and Mariners are tied for fourth with identical records. Western Valley has two ties and a loss through three games and Glace Bay is 0-3.

In other action today, Cape Breton plays Sackville at 10 a.m, and Western Valley takes on Glace Bay at 4 p.m .

There is also a skills competition at 2 p.m at the Mariners Centre.
