Queens County Brewery Plans Summer Expansion

Craft beer lovers in Queens County will soon have another way to enjoy their local brew.

Hell Bay Brewing company has been given permission to open a patio attached to their brewery in downtown Liverpool.

Co-owner Melanie Perron says she hopes the expansion will help boost tourism in the area.

“Hopefully this will mean that we’ll attract a lot more people to Liverpool,” she says. “Get people to come downtown and enjoy our waterfront and what Liverpool has to offer.”

Perron says they have to work hard to stay ahead of the competition, which has been steadily growing since they opened five years ago.

The patio is expected to be open for business by Privateer Days in late June.
