Recognizing The Best Nova Scotian Wines

This year’s best Nova Scotian wines will soon take centre stage.

Nominees for the Lieutinenant Governor’s Awards for provincially produced wines are now being accepted.

The awards recognize the outstanding quality of locally sourced and produced grape wines.

Spokesperson Craig Walkington says the award is a real honour for the recipients.

“It’s an award that is judged by professional wine tasters. So in order to win the award, it does add prestige,” said Walkington.

This is the third year for the Lieutenant Governor’s wine awards.

Last year, L’Acadie Vineyards, Domaine de Grand Pre and Gaspereau Vineyards all received awards.
