The three churches have been an integral part of the area’s skyline for more than a century.
Now they are in need of funds to keep the buildings looking pristine.
Lee Simpson, the United Church Minister and chair of the Foundation says a shrinking congregation makes it tough to keep up with expenses.
“I could tell right away that the amount spent on upkeep for this congregation was disproportionate to the number of people in the congregation,” said Simpson.
The Foundation has come up with an innovative fundraising idea offering married couples the opportunity to renew their vows.
