A prominent member of Lunenburg County’s political scene died this week.
Lila J O’Connor died at the age of 77.
O’Connor worked for the John Savage government in the early to mid ’90s.
Savage nicknamed her “The Bulldog.”
She represented Lunenburg in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly and served as Town Councillor in Mahone Bay for 12 years.
A service of remembrance for O’Connor will be held in the New Year at Trinity United Church in Mahone Bay.
As per the family’s wishes there will be no visitation.
