Getting stressed over Christmas time ?
The Nature Conservancy of Canada thinks it has a way to relieve the pressure and stress.
They are asking people to give the gift of local habitat conservation.
Spokesperson Andrew Holland says the idea is to help people and in turn, help nature.
“People don’t have to worry about traffic, finding parking spots. Here’s something that people can do online. Green gifts, alternative gift ideas and paper-less gifts are becoming more popular.”
Holland says the gifts are great for anyone, especially the nature lover and the outdoor enthusiast.
The alternative gift-giving program allows people to give symbolic gifts, including the wetland, coast line and forest habitat in the Maritimes.
