A Yarmouth County man has been charged with child pornography and voyeurism offences.
19 year old Jarrett Crowell of East Kemptville was arrested on January 18th after a home in the community was searched.
The RCMP’s Provincial Child Exploitation Unit searched the home, with assistance from the RCMP’s Technological Crime Unit, Special Tactical Operations Team, Yarmouth District RCMP, the Yarmouth/Clare Street Crime Enforcement Unit and the Yarmouth General Investigative Section.
Crowell was arrested without incident, and appeared in Yarmouth Provincial Court.
He is charged with distributing and possessing child pornography and voyeurism.
He was released on conditions and is due back in court on April 9th.
RCMP remind citizens that it is mandatory to report suspected child pornography.
Failing to report suspicious activity and materials could result in penalties similar to failure to report child abuse.
