A former teacher and principal will be the new chair of the South Shore Regional School Board. Elmer Garber was given the nod Wednesday night during the boards annual general meeting. He’s a resident of Dayspring and was elected to the board in 2012. Meantime, Cheryl Fougere was chosen to serve as vice chair. Fougere represents the Town of Bridgewater at the board table. Jennifer Naugler and Elliot Payzant held the positions – respectively – since 2012.
