He was skeptical at first, but Dave Chilton is sold on the RackDri sports bag. The Dragons’ Den member along with Mike Wekerle recently partnered with Bridgewater’s Ken Anthony on his equipment bag with a drying rack and seat. Chilton feels there is a significant market with many people involved in sports. He says the product could take off fairly quickly. Chilton says, “When one or two kids get the bag in a locker room and other kids see it and like it then all of a sudden your sales can blossom or when somebody is at a hotel and the other mothers or fathers see people using it, its effectiveness in drying out the equipment then all of a sudden they want one too.” Chilton says he believes in the product and feels Anthony has tremendous passion to succeed. He says the three will work closely together to explore potential retailers. They are hoping to have the bags available in Canadian Tire next year.
