Entrepreneurs in Lunenburg county could soon have help getting their business off the ground.
The Bridgewater Development Association has hired a consultant to figure out if a ‘Business Incubator’ could be a good fit for the community.
Gail Gillian-Bain president of Bain Consult says an incubator can strengthen new businesses.
“The innovation centres help to grow the business when it’s viable,” she says, “and get to that sales and marketing strategy to generate revenue.”
Gillian-Bain says the area already has great resources for business owners.
However, she feels an incubation centre could help fill in the gaps.
“Business advisory sessions, you could have training programs, you may have, like, a food production testing facility so you can test those ideas and see if you can come up with a new product.”
The BDA is expected to receive the complete report by the middle of June.
