Bridgewater Police Await Autopsy Results For Suspicious Death

Bridgewater Police continue to wait for autopsy results following a suspicious death on April 28.

Police along with firefighters and paramedics were called to Marie Avenue for a medical emergency.

A 22 year-old woman was transported to South Shore Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Deputy Police Chief Scott Feener says the medical examiner’s office will release a report when ready.

“Sometimes if it’s deemed suspicious and they have knowledge of that, they can expedite it and it’s all on their decision-making after the autopsy.”

Feener says police treat any sudden death, especially a young person, as suspicious until it’s proven otherwise.
