Nova Scotia Donating $50,000 To Syrian Refugee Effort

The Nova Scotia government is donating $50,000 to the Syrian refugee effort.

Premier Stephen McNeil released a statement this morning.

He says the money will be going to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

McNeil says there has been an outpouring of grief for the Syrian people.

He says he’s proud to offer support on behalf of Nova Scotia.
