The Region of Queens is hoping to build off their success of the Blue Rodeo concert.
Councillors have told staff to plan and budget for another showcase concert next year.
The Blue Rodeo concert in July at Queens Place Emera Centre netted a profit of over $9,100.
CAO Richard MacLellan says it’s a good start.
“Build off that and also build off our reputation as a place where we can host events, it’s a great place to visit and supporting our local economy.”
MacLellan says they haven’t started discussing the potential musical act for next year.
Almost 1,900 people watched the Blue Rodeo concert – which was close to a sellout.
Tickets were purchased from six provinces, the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
