On Ramp At Exit 19 Reopens After Tractor-Trailer Accident

Slippery conditions led to a tractor-trailer accident on Highway 103 near Liverpool today.

The tractor-trailer wound up on its side, facing the wrong direction between the highway and an on-ramp at Exit 19.

The accident occurred just after midnight.

Corporal Dal Hutchinson, media relations for the RCMP, says the driver sustained minor injuries.

He says the decision was made to leave the truck where it fell due to weather conditions.

Drivers were still able to use the ramp until clean up started around 10 am.

Traffic heading Northeast had to be redirected to other exits.

The ramp was reopened after 1 pm.
