People in Lunenburg are lacing up for a good cause.
This Saturday, the South Shore’s seventh annual ALS Walk will take place.
Volunteers are looking for big numbers at the walk.
Maureen Hope says along with the walk itself they’ll also be selling items to help them reach their goal of $25,000.
Hope says, for her, this is an opportunity to show her support for people effected by the devastating disease.
She says the biggest challenge will be getting as many people as possible to come out.
Six people in the Lunenburg County suffer from ALS.
This is one of 10 walks happening across the province.
Registration for the walk opens at the Lunenburg Curling Club at 9 a.m.
Walkers will hit the street rain or shine.
