Three South Shore athletes broke records at the NSSAF provincial track and field championships in Stellarton.
Hebbville’s Nolan Wentzell ran the junior boys 100 metre hurdles in 14.48 seconds, eclipsing the previous record by four tenths of a second.
Logan Taylor of Bluenose Academy broke the junior boys four kilogram shotput record by almost half a metres with a throw of 14.37 metres.
And Park View’s Cameron Whynot set a new intermediate boys five kilogram shotput record with a throw of 14.88 metres. The previous best was 14.43.
All three won gold in those events.
Other medallists include Bridgewater’s Josh Savage, who won silver in the 100 and 200 metre senior boys.
Chester Area Middle School won the junior girls 4 x 100 metre relay with a time of 54.40 seconds.
