A former commander in-chief with the RCMP has been tasked to look into the school review process.
The school options committee recommended sending grades 10-12 students from Bridgewater to Park View.
The school board decided to hire an external consultant after complaints were expressed about the process.
Chair Jennifer Naugler says Phonse MacNeil will determine if the correct steps were followed.
“If there are no issues, we just continue on with the review process. If there were anything that came up that needs to be adjusted, adjustments will be made and then we will continue on.”
Naugler did not know the cost to hire MacNeil.
She says MacNeil will report back to the school board with his findings by the end of June or early July.
