Another season at Perkins House will be lost to history.
The venerable house in Liverpool still needs repair after sitting out last summer`s tourist season.
Linda Rafuse with the Queens County Museum explains a clever plan to keep the house high on the government’s “to-do” list.
“If you’re disappointed that Perkins House wasn’t open when you came to visit,” she says, “Here’s a post card, why don’t you write a note on the back to Minister Ince, and at the end of the summer we’re going to send them all into him.”
Perkins House provides visitors from around the world a look into colonial life.
Rafuse says an interpreter will be at the Queen’s County Museum all summer to tell the story of the Perkins House and family.
