The South Shore Junior ‘A’ Lumberjacks opened their season with an overtime loss to the Campbellton Tigers.
The Jacks held a 4-1 lead going into the third period, thanks to goals by Liam Alcalde, Isaac Bridge, Damon MacDonald and Alex Rawding.
However, the Tigers scored three times in the final 20 minutes to force overtime.
Campbellton’s Tyler Johnson scored the game winner.
The Lumberjacks still received a point for the overtime loss.
They are back on the ice this evening to play the Timberwolves in Miramichi.
