The economy was a big point of the NDP candidate for South Shore – St. Margaret’s.
Alex Godbold spoke to about 45 people at a breakfast hosted by the Bridgewater and Area Chamber of Commerce.
He says our current work force is less than 34,000, with almost 60,000 people eligible to work.
“If we could create jobs for even a quarter of those folks not currently in the workforce, imagine the benefits to our region, to those individuals and to their families.”
Godbold says an NDP government would also make sure high-speed internet is a priority for everyone in the riding.
The chamber hosts Liberal candidate Bernadette Jordan this Friday and Conservative candidate Richard Clark September 25.
