Some local events and musicians have been recognized by Music Nova Scotia.
Old Man Luedecke has been nominated for Americana/Bluegrass Recording of the Year.
Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women & Song in Lockeport is up for Event of the Year.
Also, the Chester Playhouse and the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society have both been nominated for Community Presenter of the Year.
And, one of our radio stations is up for an award as well.
CKBW has been named a finalist for Radio Station of the Year.
The awards will be handed out during Nova Scotia Music Week, from November 5-8 in Yarmouth.
