The Municipality of Chester and town of Lockeport have received funding for sustainable transportation projects.
The province announced almost $16,000 to help build a footpath that connects New Ross Consolidated to the heritage museum and learning complex at New Ross Farm.
There is also a $2,500 grant to the Lockeport Loop Business Association to support an eco-park and walk project.
The money will go towards new signs, a printed map, and online content.
It will help raise awareness of public parking facilities and local walking and biking paths in the town.
The money was provided through Connect2, the province’s sustainable transportation grant program.
