Bayview Teacher Recognized With Lieutenant Governor Award

A physical education and French teacher at Bayview Community School has been recognized for her work.

Mahone Bay’s Selena Davidson Eno received this year’s Lieutenant Governor’s Teaching Award.

She was honoured during a ceremony in Halifax on Wednesday.

Davidson Eno says it’s nice to be recognized.

“It’s also about what every other educator does as well. I’m just one in thousands of teachers and coaches that put the time and effort in to their students.”

Davidson Eno says she takes pride in getting students involved in athletics and other extra-curricular activities.

She is also involved with managing an award-winning recycling program and developing an after-school program for junior high girls at the Mahone Bay Centre.

Davidson Eno received a Nova Scotian Crystal sculpture and a certificate.
