Dory Racers Head To Gloucester For International Competition

Dory racers representing Canada are in the United States looking to keep up recent good fortune.

This weekend is the opening leg of the 64th International Dory Races in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

Canada has won the event for at least the last four years.

Rowing for Canada in Gloucester are Gladys Collicutt and Morgan Smith in the co-ed division, John Ernst and Josh Bell in the junior category and Gail Atkinson and Kath Moore in the women’s division.

Other Canadian rowers include Keith Merrill, John Anderson, Robert Fox and Joel George.

The races begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jodrey State Fish Pier.
