Town of Bridgewater staff should find it easier to make healthy food choices over the next several months.
A garden full of quick grab veggies has been planted at town hall.
Bre Haley with the Active Transportation Committee says she wants people learn how to take control of what they eat.
“Just encourage people to eat healthy,” she says, “how easy it is to plant and grow vegetables just in town, you don’t need a big field or anything like that.”
Haley says they planted cherry tomatoes, kale, and parsley among others.
“Staff can just come as they walk into work, pick what they want to eat, and just snack on it or hopefully enjoy it with their lunch.”
She says there are dozens of these free gardens all over Bridgewater and anyone is welcome to the crops.
