Walk the Walk For Autism

More than 150 people are expected to step in the right direction on Saturday.

The annual Walk the Walk for Autism will be held at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre from 9 a.m. until noon.

Coordinator Ann Wentzell says there is a fundraising goal of $10,000.

Money raised will go towards providing programs for local autistic children.

“Through art programs, swim programs, yoga, we sponsor two families for Camp Au-Some every year and we also do grad bursaries.”

This year’s event will include a walk outdoors on a nearby trail or indoors on the LCLC track.

People can still register or show up on Saturday and participate.
