High Schoolers Strut Their Stuff For Better Healthcare

A short walk raised big money to help the Health Services Foundation pay for new surgical equipment. The ninth annual Fashion for our Future saw a group of teenagers rock the runway Tuesday night.

Development Officer Alison Clements says they wanted to support this year’s Radiothon goal.

She says partnering with young people is extra special.

“Teenagers who are already dealing with the stresses of being a teen, plus their school work, plus thinking about their future, they’re also willing to fund raise and help give back to their community. They’re going to be tha next generation of philanthropist that’s really going to make Lunenburg County special.”

The students from Bridgewater Junior-Senior High were able to raise over $2,000.

That money has already been handed over to the foundation.
