The body of a missing boater has been recovered by RCMP.
A 46 year-old man fell overboard Tuesday morning in Gavel Lake, Yarmouth County.
His body was found around 6 p.m. last evening by the police unit’s underwater recovery team.
The Mounties say it appears the man became distressed and struggled to stay above water.
Police, volunteer firefighters from Lake Vaughan and the Department of Transportation were involved in the search.
RCMP say the death is not considered suspicious.
The man has not been identified.
