Bridgewater: Afterglow Art Festival Ready To Hit King Street

Artists are preparing to showcase their work in Bridgewater.

The two night Afterglow Art Festival will be held Friday and Saturday evening on King Street.

It will feature more than 30 projects including written and spoke word, theatrical performance and mobile art.

Coordinator Ashton Rodenhiser says it’s an opportunity to display local talent.

“You can’t appreciate what’s in your community unless you see and experience it for yourself and as we know, there haven’t been a lot of opportunities in Bridgewater, in particular, to experience art in a unique way.”

The Afterglow Art Festival started in 2012.

The festival is free to attend with some artists selling their work to the public.

It opens on Friday night from 7-9:30 p.m.

The festival continues Saturday evening from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m.
