Zach Churchill Talking To Stakeholders About Upcoming Changes To Education Administration

Nova Scotia’s education minister says people need good information on upcoming changes to education administration.

Zach Churchill says that’s why he’ll be holding a series of meetings with stakeholders.

He’ll meet with parents, teachers, principals, school advisory council members and staff of school board offices.

Churchill says the changes will be positive.

“I know times of uncertainty create a certain level of fear, but if people actually look at the goals we’re trying to accomplish they’ll know that these are going to be positive for the classroom teacher, principals and for our kids.”

Churchill says teachers will become empowered, principals will have more autonomy and the ability of the education system to support students will improve.

He says history will prove that the Liberal government was right in making the changes.
