New Christmas Lights To Adorn Some Streets In Shelburne In December

The Town of Shelburne will be getting new Christmas lights.

Mayor Karen Mattatall says present decorations that line Water and King Streets each holiday season have seen better days.

The lights, that go back to the 1980’s, were refurbished last year but she says they still looked “tired”.

Mayor Mattatall says the town held a meeting to discuss what to do and were presented with an option.

“There is a lady in the community who actually makes these ornaments out of metal. She’s going to bring some samples and then we will decorate them with lighting.”

Mattatall says it’s nice to be able to support a local resident.
