Nationalism is a driving factor behind the current success of the Toronto Blue Jays.
That from Craig Hyatt, Associate Professor in the Department of Sport Management at Brock University in Ontario. He says the Blue Jays just recently brought the maple leaf back to their logo three years ago.
Hyatt says the the increase of interest in baseball could potentially help the Expos return to Montreal, assuming someone with deep pockets can buy a team and build a stadium.
He says a lot of people are becoming interested in the Blue Jays for the first time since the 90’s, due to their recent success.
