Bridgewater is trying to tighten up their crosswalk safety.
Luckily, so is Norm Collins.
He’s the man behind crosswalk safety flags.
Collins started the project in the Annapolis Valley five years ago.
He has installed over 100 sets in the HRM alone.
He says crosswalk flags make sense in busy parts of the South Shore.
“You have a lot of tourists and visitors who aren’t familiar with the area in the first place.”
Bridgewater recently installed flags at the corner of York and Empire Streets.
Collins says he’s excited to see the South Shore getting on board.
