Dying With Dignity Canada is slamming the newly passed legislation on doctor assisted dying for not going far enough.

The organization says the Charter rights of Canadians are being violated by limiting access to those whose death is reasonably foreseeable.
Dying With Dignity Canada says the restriction excludes entire classes of desperately ill Canadians.
The group wants the government to send a reference question on eligibility to the Supreme Court to settle the issue once and for all.
As well, DWDC wants the government to launch independent studies on key issues relating to implementation.
Those include access for mature minors, and those who qualify solely for psychiatric conditions, as well as legalization of advance requests for assisted dying.
