The current MLA for Yarmouth will again be the Liberal candidate in the next provincial election.
The Yarmouth Liberal Association has shown their support for Zach Churchill.
He says he is very proud to represent the community.
“A lot of good people here working hard and I just want to do my part to improve our prospects down here, strengthen our economy and represent our people to the best of my ability.”
Churchill was first elected in 2010 in a by-election to replace PC MLA Richard Hurlburt.
He was re-elected in 2013 when the Liberals won a majority government.
He has served as natural resources minister and is currently the minister of municipal affairs and Communications Nova Scotia.
While he doesn’t think an election is imminent, he says he looks forward to seeing who will be the Progressive Conservative candidate.
