Electric car users have a spot to plug-in at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre. A handful of electrical car charging stations can be found on site; the first of their kind in Bridgewater. General Manager Kevin Benjamin says the outlets, along with a number of different items including a system that gathers rain-water to flush toilets are all working towards the facility’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design measure. Benjamin says the electric car chargers are a good investment for the site.
Benjamin says the chargers are helping the facility reach LEED Gold standards, which will help certify it as environmentally responsible and resource-efficient.
