Focus groups seeking information on midwifery will be held next week in Yarmouth.
It’s part of an Acadia University research project to determine how midwifery would be beneficial in rural areas.
Local coordinator Krissie Wyman says there will be two focus groups held at the Tri-County Women’s Centre on Friday March 9.
“There will be groups of mothers, about eight or nine at a time. What we’re going to be doing is asking questions about their birthing experience and their breastfeeding experience throughout their prenatal and postpartum care time.”
Mothers with a child around two-years old are being asked to participate.
